Summary
After Gay-Straight Alliance President Joey posts a transphobic tweet about Vice President Evan that goes viral, their high school suddenly finds itself picking sides. As things escalate, Joey's friends kick her out of the club, her girlfriend dumps her, and her classmates vandalize her locker. It’s not until Joey and Evan end up in detention together that they realize that identity, social media, and accountability can be complicated. With humor and heart, this musical explores how broken relationships can be repaired by putting aside snap judgements and owning one's mistakes.
